Additionally, this restaurant is the sister company of  Tamp Cafe & Co.. So, some food on their menu has a few similarities to Tamp.

My Verdict

All the food that we tried in their restaurant was so delicious. It's premium quality. It is all worth the penny. 

Additionally, the serving is more than enough (for me), and all their staff are very accommodating. I highly recommend everyone to dine at this beautiful restaurant.

The Arcade Cebu is one of the newest places to chill and dine in the city. It is on the 15th Floor, Faustina Center, Bonifacio District.

I love the ambiance of this place. It is uniquely relaxing. Their staff are accommodating. Plus, they serve food that is so delicious.

It's my first time to try this, and it's surprisingly good.

Furthermore, you can also enjoy playing billiards, darts & more with your friends. Borrow their Jenga Blocks, Uno Card, etc., or sing karaoke with them as they have allocated rooms for karaoke with consumable food and drinks.

The food we ordered at Steak Shack, IL Corso, Cebu

So far, all the food we ordered is affordable and delicious. The meat is tender, and the gravy is good. It complemented well with the meat. Also, I love the free soup. It's so savory. As per the staff, the soup is Fish Sinigang. 

Additionally, their staffs are accommodating. It's one of the few shops in Cebu that I'll surely visit again and again.

This café is more than just its aesthetically beautiful interior. It also serves delicious sweet-delights and drinks. It's like, you get what you paid for. Perfect!

This Strawberry Choco Croissant is heavenly. It was sweet but not-so-sweet, at the same time flaky. The chocolate cream blended well with its pasty and strawberry. It's a great pair with their hot cappuccino.

I also love their Strawberry Puff. It's so soft and not-so-sweet. The strawberries on it elevated the taste.

Additionally, this café has another store located at G/F Streetscape Mall, Paseo Saturnino, Banilad,  Cebu City, Cebu, namely Merci Dessert Cafe (their first store).

What's the difference between the two branches?

Merci Dessert Cafe has a variety of cakes, macarons, and more.

On the other hand, the Merci Bakery & Brunch is in a three-story building. The second floor has a photo booth area, and the third floor is like the extension of their café but with different vibes as it is an open space. Somehow, a café in a rooftop vibes.

However, the distance between the two stores is not that far, as it's just five-eight minutes on foot.

Food Review

We ordered White Truffle Pasta, Pork Kawali in Tomato Onion Stew, Coffee Cloud Latte, Café Caramel, Chocolate Blackout Cake, and Yema Cake.

Their White Truffle Pasta is really good. It's creamy and so cheesy.

Their Pork Kawali in Tomato Onion Stew is breaking the ordinary Pork Kawali style with its sautéed tomatoes and onions. It complimented well with the rice and the lettuce garnished with sweetened syrup on the side.

Both of these drinks are good. The Café Caramel is like the usual caramel-flavored drinks at some coffee shops. Also, it reminds me of the Caramel Macchiato at some shops. Furthermore, Coffee Cloud Latte is one of their special egg cloud drinks. Its taste is unique and has a different caffeine kick as it has espresso in it.

Would you believe me that we only bought these two slices of cake for only ₱2? Yes! You read it right. Each piece of cake only costs ₱1 if you buy one meal on their menu with drinks on it. Good deal, right? 

Additionally, these two cakes are very delicious. I appreciate that the chocolate blackout cake has a slice of strawberry on it. The chocolatey flavor goes well with the strawberry. For my personal favorite, I like the Yema Cake. The sweetness of the Yema Flavor goes well in every inch of the cake. Perfection!

Overall, all their food is worth every penny, with a great place and accommodating staff (we visit their branch at Kasambagan). I highly recommend everyone to dine at this place. It's another must-visit resto in Cebu!

Mendokoro Remenba Is Now In Cebu

The famous ramen shop in Manila is now in Cebu – the Mendokoro Ramenba. It is well-admired for its great ambiance and delicious food. This shop is giving authentic Japanese restaurant vibes to its diners.

• You'll have to reserve your seat (especially if it's peak hours) at the staff near the entrance

• Wait for your turn

• Afterwards, the staff will take your order

• Pay your order at the counter

• Lastly, you'll be given your respective seat.

How's the food?

We ordered TanTanMen Ramen without Aji Tamago, Shio Ramen with Aji Tamago, Chahan, Karaage, and soda in the can for drinks.

All the food that we ordered is delectable. The Kaarage is soft and tasty. The Chahan is savory fried. The soup of the ramen is rich and flavorful. I love that it complemented their noodle, Chashu, and meat for TanTanMen. However, I wouldn't deny that their food and drinks are quite pricey. Yet, it's great to say it's worth every penny.

My Verdict

As of writing this, I/We tried the Iced Matcha Latte (Green tea with creamy milk) and Iced Dark Chocolate (with creamy milk and rich espresso). Actually, I'm not really into Matcha Lattes but the Iced Match Latte in Pickup Coffee is surprisingly really good (for me). It reminds me of the Matcha Latte in a famous brand yet in an affordable version. Also, the Iced Dark Chocolate in Pickup Coffee is very good too. Then the natural bitter taste of the Dark Chocolate blended well with the creamy milk and the espresso.

Overall, I highly recommend Pickup Coffee. It's really good and affordable.

Food Review: Chef Joshua’s Kitchen In Cebu, Philippines

Chef Joshua’s Kitchen is a Cebu-based food shop that serves premium cheesecakes, crispy chicken sandwiches, Neapolitan-style pizzas, and even homemade meals.

What I love most about Chef Joshua’s Kitchen is that their food is uniquely delicious plus it’s very affordable.

In my/our case, we dined at their IL Corso branch. When we first visited their place, we ordered the Tripid Pack - All Original Jr. for only  ₱595. It has three original burgers (Chef Joshua's Kitchen's original flavor), regular fries, and chicken poppers. For the dip or sauce, we had the mustard flavor.

For our second visit (in the same branch), we still ordered Tripid Pack, but this time with a twist as I upgraded my order to be able to choose the flavors of the burgers. For the burgers, I choose Asian Triad, Spicy Chix, and Triple Cheese with regular fries and Garlic Parmesan Chicken Poppers for only ₱695. 

My Verdict

How was the food in Chef Joshua's Kitchen? So far, all the food I tried at Chef Joshua's Kitchen is good, and I highly recommend it. For my personal favorite, I love The Chef's Original Burger, Spicy Chix Burger, Triple Cheese Burger, and Honey Mustard Chicken Poppers.
