My Version Of Kitkat Chocolate Cake

Who says that English teachers are not versatile? Well, I beg to disagree. I am a chocoholic licensed English teacher who simply loves to bake cakes and cook delectable food. My aunt is a culinary arts trainer. She's the one who influences me and brought me to the road of Culinary. For me, if you have the passion, nothing's difficult.

The way to the man's heart is through his stomach"
Well, this is my simple yet sweet version of Kitkat chocolate cake.

Last February 14th, I couldn't think of a present to give to my man. Since we are both chocoholics, I thought that baking a cake together is the sweetest and the nicest way to spend our first heart's day together.

Chocolate Cake Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 10 (or more) pieces of Kitkats (it depends on the size of the cake you bake)
  • 1 bottle Cherry (optional)
  • Small kisses chocolate (optional)
  • 1-meter ribbon

For the chocolate syrup:
  • ¼ chocolate bar
  • 1 Nestle Cream

Note: Some ingredients are subject to change. It depends on the sugar level of a person.

How to make Chocolate Cake:

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  • Grease and flour three 6" X 1 1/2" round cake pans.
  • Mix together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl beat butter, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Gradually add sugar.
  • Beat on medium to high speed for about 3-4 minutes until well mixed
  • Alternately combine in flour mixture and milk to the batter while beating.
  • Continue to beat until batter is smooth.
  • Pour equal amounts of batter into greased and floured round cake pans.
  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Check with a toothpick to see if it is done. Bake a few minutes more, if needed.
  • Remove from oven and allow cakes to cool in pans for a few minutes.
  • Place cakes on a wire rack, to them, allow to completely cool.

After cooling:
  • Shred the chocolate bar into the plate.
  • Pre-heat the pan and pour the 1 box Nestle Cream into it.
  • Add the shredded chocolate and stir until mixed well.
  • After making the chocolate syrup, let it warm.
  • Take a little from the chocolate syrup and frost it around the cake, and thin it out to spread.
  • Put the Kitkat all over the side of the cake.
  • Sprinkle the small kisses chocolate at the top.
  • You may put the ribbon around your cake.

Note: You may add designs as much as you want.

So, ladies, you may now bake one for your man too.

Have fun!
